Antirrhinum
(Snapdragaon) Single colours are hard to
come by in tall antirrhinums but now we have this
impressive azalea-flowered variety in a gorgeous
rich apricot salmon joining the white, lemon and
pink from the same stable.

Reaching 4ft/1.2m in height, the extra petals in
the centre of the flowers not only give them more
substance but because the bees cannot enter the
flowers to pollinate them they last longer before
going to seed.
If planted out in good time, it's usually worth
pinching out the tips of the young plants to
encourage branching; you'll probably end up with
ten spikes per plant instead of three.
And remember that with its extra height this
variety will propbably need staking.
Type: Half-hardy
