Aquilegia Origami Series/Butterfly Series

The Origami series has been developed over many years by Goldsmith Seeds. Sometimes known in Britain as the Butterfly Series, under which name it was introduced by Three Counties Nursery in 2000, plants require no vernalisation so will flower in about 20 weeks from a spring sowing.

In Britain plants and seeds are available to home gardeners from Three Counties Nursery, who introduced them and popularised them in Britain. Seed is available from Mr Fothergills Seeds, Nicky’s Nursery and perhaps other mail order seed companies.

In North America plants and seeds are available from a number of cources. Search the web for Aquilegia Origami here.
