At the extensive seeds trials at Suttons Seeds in Devon, a wide range of annuals and bedding plants is grown side by side to compare their suitability for British conditions. Here gazanias really sparkle in the sun when their flowers are open; on dull days the Talent Series stand out as although their flowers are closed their grey foliage provides plenty of colour. Possible new introductions are planted alongside older varieties and this trial proved that the Talent Series is neater, more prolific and the plants more silvered than in the older 'Carnival'.   Gazania A-Z ©copyright 1999 Graham Rice.
