Cosmidium These striking
yellow-edged, mahogany flowers on their slender
wiry stems belong to Cosmidium (correctly
Thelosperma) 'Brunette' and behind the dark
foliage of Dahlia 'David Howard' sets them
off well. In front, the trailing tassels of one of
the newer amaranthus, A. cruentus 'Golden
Giant', drape forward from their well branched
plants. Although often pillaged by birds, the
amaranthus may require dead-heading to prevent a
profusion of self-sown seedlings. ©copyright
