David and Ann Hitchcock, who run Three Counties Nursery, were the first to see the value of these new F1 Hybrid aquilegias to gardeners and have introduced all the members of these three series in recent years.

Their dramatic exhibits at the Chelsea Flower Show (above in 2000) and their neverending enthusiasm for these prolific and colourful plants have ensured that they are now very widely grown.
